Classic Rubber Flip-Flops

There is one failure in this product and everybody has had it: the toe post pulls out of the footbed and the pair is finished on the spot. It happens because the post was glued into a blind hole rather than pulled all the way through the sole and flared underneath.

Ours are pulled through and heat-flared, so the anchor is mechanical. You can see it on the underside of the sole, and we would rather you look at it on a sample than take our word for it. It costs very little more and it is the difference between a season and an afternoon.

The other decision is the density of the foam, not its thickness. EVA takes a compression set: a thick low-density footbed feels wonderful in the shop and flattens permanently within a season, while a thinner denser one keeps its shape. Thickness is what a photo shows and density is what the wearer gets.

Why does the toe post always pull out?
Because it was glued into a blind hole. A post that is pulled all the way through the sole and heat-flared underneath is anchored mechanically and cannot pull out that way. Turn a sample over and look; the anchor is visible.

Not on its own. EVA takes a compression set, so a thick low-density footbed flattens permanently and a thinner denser one does not. Ask for the density. Thickness is the number that photographs well.
